The Vent Adapter Doesn’t Fit My Vent Opening!

All is not lost!

Some RV manufacturers deviate from the standard duct opening size. In which case, you can do a little modification to make it work. Not a problem! 

My vent opening is LARGER than the KoolRV® system

While not uncommon, it is not common enough that we include the fix in our boxes. Why? Because we aim to reduce waste and know that 95% of the parts would simply go in the trash. This is where we ask for your participation. 

The fix for an opening that is too large is to simply adjust the size of the opening with a very inexpensive (less than a dollar) piece of flashing shingle. Here are two links to EXAMPLES of flashing you can pick up at your local "big box" hardware store in the roofing section. We are aware that the link may show "out of stock" in your area, but we include it so you can get the idea:

Simply cut them to size, tape each of them to the side or top of the opening to reduce it to fit our adapters and you are done! It's completely acceptable to reduce the opening, since our adapters are to the exact specs provided by the air conditioner manufacturers.

My vent opening is SMALLER than the KoolRV® system

Odds are you own a Winnebago or a Jayco. Again, not a problem! 

Our adapters are made from plastic for a reason. They can be cut to fit. The picture below shows where to take off the material to fit your rig. Use a Dremel, saw or other appropriate cutting instrument to remove the amount needed and you are good to go. Best part? This WILL NOT void our money back guarantee.

There is a DIVIDER running through the center of my duct opening

You may find an insert like the one in the picture below with a divider running down the center. Simply remove this insert to install our vent adapter.
